Dylan Holmes Williams

Dylan is a writer / director based in London.

In TV, he directed four episodes of M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant on Apple TV+, including the season opener of season 4. He directed block 1 of the upcoming reboot of Doctor Who for BBC & Disney+, written by Russell T Davies.

In features, he is developing projects with Working Title, Complete Fiction and Film4.

His short film The Devil’s Harmony (2019) won the Jury Prize for International Fiction at Sundance 2020, Best UK Short at the London Critics Circle 2020, a Best Director Award at Fantastic Fest 2019 and was nominated for a 2019 BIFA for Best British Short Film. It is available to stream on Disney+, Amazon Prime & the Criterion Channel.

His short film Stilts (2019) was commissioned by Channel 4 Random Acts. It was programmed by Film4 and premiered before previews of Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse at UK cinemas. Its international premiere was at Slamdance 2021. His short film The Nightmare On Deskteeth Street (2017) premiered at BFI London Film Festival 2017.

He has dual British-American citizenship and is a member of the Director’s Guild of America.
